RADNEY FOSTER

href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-29q8rCB9f1E/TmBbi7z0erI/AAAAAAAAEbE/ms6AbWxEkkc/s1600/DDD.JPG">

Radney is simply one of my favorite all time songwriters. You know him... Texas in 1880, Nobody Wins, Angel Flight, etc. He took time to write songs with vets to record in Nashville and perform at Faces Of Freedom.

Sample some of his music at:

here are the lyrics to Angel Flight. It is about pilots flying home the bodies of Texas National Guard members killed overseas.

All I ever wanted to do was fly
Leave this world and live in the sky
I left the C130 out of Fort Worth town
I go up some days I don't wanna come down

Well I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Come on brother you're with me tonight
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home

I love my family and I love this land
But tonight this flight's for another man
We do what we do because we heard the call
Some gave a little, but he gave it all

I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Come on brother you're with me tonight
(Come on brother you're with me tonight)
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home

Well, the stars are quiet and the stars are bright
Feels kinda like church in here tonight
It don't matter where we touch down
On the Angel Flight its sacred ground

I fly that plane called the Angel Flight
Gotta hero riding with us tonight
Between Heaven and earth you're never alone
On the Angel Flight
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home
Come on brother I'm taking you home

“One of the best albums of the year” – USA Today

“Revival is quintessential Foster, an inspired and crisply recorded batch of tunes that bridges the gaps separating country from rock and pop. The songs are memorable and meaty.” — Dallas Morning News

“This is a record for Sunday morning and Saturday night; for every moment of pensive reflection, there’s an equal dose of rafter-rattling roots rock.” –Washington Post

“Foster has gone indie with his new release. That sobbing you hear is coming from various boardrooms of the labels that didn’t snap his new gem up.” —American Songwriter

“A most impressive album…will certainly be in the top Americana albums of 2009” – Houston Press

“Powerful…the whole thing hums with the energy of a songwriter at the top of his game”—popdose.com

“If you’re not a part of the Foster faithful before you listen to Revival, you certainly will be afterward.” –allmusic.com

“Radney Foster is one of the most talented singer/songwriters of our time. His voice is so unique, sexy and engaging.” – Sara Evans
