The Center for Nonprofit Excellence and AFP Southern Coloardo Chapter are pleased to announce the formation of a networking group for nonprofit development officers and staff, co-sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. All those with responsibilities for raising funds for their nonprofits are encouraged to attend.

Special thanks to our sponsor for the development networking group, the Fine Arts Center. Meetings are being hosted the first Thursday of each month by the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, 30 W. Dale St., from 8 to 9 a.m., and coffee will be provided. The structure of the meetings will include a time for networking, approx. 30-minute presentations, and time for Q&A or other business.

RSVP to the Center for Nonprofit Excellence at 575-4341 or info@cnecoloradosprings.org.

Christi-Marie Butler joined the Association of Fundraising Professionals SoCo Board in 2006. "When I first started in development, AFP gave me the professional training I desperately needed, but so much more importantly, it provided the mentorship opportunities to which I entirely attribute any and all success I have had so far."
In 2008, Christi-Marie came to The Colorado College Advancement Team. Before CC, she was the Director of Development for the Girl Scouts-Wagon Wheel Council and Director of Corporate Relations and Major Gifts for the Girl Scouts of Colorado.
In addition, Butler runs 5ks, 10ks and half marathons competitively. "I was always taught that the way you do anything is the way you do everything. Running sets a daily pattern of striving for personal excellence that hope shows up in everything I do."
