The first "official" action was taken Sunday when I interviewed a World War Two veteran who served aboard the U.S.S. Lexington. Richard Jorgenson was a naval pilot who flew the Douglas Dauntless SBD Dive Bomber. He was aboard the ship when it was sunk during the battle of Coral Sea. I will post the interview in the next few days.

R2 FOUNDATION to begin interviews of World War Two Veterans
Thanks to Col. Steve Alexander (Ret.) for making the R2 Foundation (R2 as in R squared, as in RR, as in Richard Randall) a reality. The purpose of the Foundation is to sponsor events that will benefit military charities and non-profits such as The Homefront Cares, USO, Wounded Warrior Project, etc. It will also help educational non-profits preserve American history and pass it on to future generations.
