Hey, Richard,

I have to say that I thought your position was sanctimonious.

Dictating that public servants will do a better job by spending some time in the sanctuary of a church IS sanctimonious -- AND it counters the words of Christ himself. Even if one believes that public servants should commune with God before making decision, no church is required to commune with God. Whatever happened to listening to the still small voice that comes in the night?

Look, I'm agnostic, so it disturbs me that you seem to believe that there is a religious requirement from political leaders anyway. When you take positions like this you look like a shill for the religious right. Why take positions that sanctimonious hypocrites like Anne Coulter take?

Best,
John

Wishing that our leaders believe in something otehr than themselves is not being sanctimonious.

As a Soldier, I always refused to have those who believed that they were invinsible in my team. Those are the ones that get you killed.

When you believe that you are the ultimate authority, it means that you really do not know your own limits, and that, is dangerous.
